J&K experiences unprecedented growth in tourism for the first time in 30 decades, 1.62 crore tourists visited
For the first time in over three years, Kashmir is witnessing unprecedented growth in tourism.
The record-breaking number of tourists that visited Jammu as well as Kashmir this year indicates the overall growth and positive shift within this Union territory.
Tourism is the largest job-creating activity within Jammu and Kashmir and, since January 2022 to date, 1.62 crore tourists have been to Jammu and Kashmir this is the most in the 75 years of independence.
Tourism has created the most employment across different areas in Jammu as well as Kashmir which includes Poonch, Rajouri.
The tourist sites like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg as well as all hotels and guesthouses in Srinagar experienced 100 percent occupancy.
